Section 01
The short version
ToneSpace is designed to be local-first. The web room check uses your browser microphone to estimate noise, echo, clarity, and recording level. The analysis happens in your browser while the test is running.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your microphone to advertise to you. We do not require an account to run a room check.
Section 02
Microphone access
ToneSpace asks for microphone permission only when you start a room check. Your browser controls that permission prompt, and you can revoke access from browser or operating system settings.
The web app reads short live audio measurements such as level, peak, and frequency energy so it can estimate room conditions. Those measurements are turned into practical scores and fix suggestions.
Section 03
Local history
If local history is enabled, ToneSpace stores completed room-check results in your browser storage on the device you are using. This lets you compare your latest room score with previous sessions.
- Saved history includes score, mode, room name, timestamp, and acoustic estimates.
- The current web version does not upload those room-check results to a ToneSpace server.
- Clearing browser site data also removes locally saved ToneSpace sessions.
Section 04
Audio samples
The web app focuses on live measurement and does not need to keep your voice recording to score the room. If a future web feature adds optional sample playback, it will be off by default and clearly labeled before anything is saved.
On the mobile app, saved voice samples are a user-controlled privacy setting. Turn that setting off if you prefer stricter local privacy.
Section 05
Support messages
If you email support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, device details, screenshots, or room-check notes. We use that only to help with the request and improve the product.
Send support and deletion questions to support@tonespace.app.
Section 06
Hosting and service providers
The public ToneSpace website may be hosted by infrastructure providers such as Vercel and protected by DNS or network providers such as Cloudflare. Those providers may process standard technical information needed to serve the site, such as IP address, request metadata, and security logs.
We do not give those providers your room-check audio for advertising or resale.
Section 07
Children
ToneSpace is a utility for people checking recording, teaching, meeting, worship, and content-creation spaces. It is not built to collect personal information directly from children.
If a parent, guardian, or school believes a child has sent personal information through a support request, contact us and we will help remove it.
Section 08
Your choices
- You can deny microphone access and still read the site and legal pages.
- You can clear local history from the room-check interface.
- You can clear all ToneSpace browser data from your browser settings.
- You can ask us to delete support messages you sent to us.
Read the terms for the usage rules that pair with this privacy notice.
Section 09
Changes
We may update this privacy notice as ToneSpace grows. When we do, we will change the last updated date on this page.
